CSWA Science In Society awards gala dinner

cswa_locomotive_hallSaturday, June 5 -- The CSWA's Science In Society Awards Gala is your chance to celebrate the year's best achievements in print, radio, TV, books, and student writing.

Science In Society Journalism Awards main entries closed, Emerging Journalist Award entries open until April 30, 2010

This year, the event will take place in the Museum of Science and Technology Locomotive Hall, a vast space that holds four huge steam locomotives, some of which allow access to the cabs, a caboose, a business car, and an exhibit of Canadian railway bridges.

cswa_locomotive_hall_galaSound effects give the feeling of live locomotives. The engines are meticulously restored, with polished rods and with lighted number boards and class lights.

The gala will take place in the central space between the two sets of trains, with a screen and podium at the far end of the space.
